“You can’t change the past, but you can ruin the present by worrying about the future.” Anonymous
The past is done and over with so no discussion there.
What about the future? Shouldn’t we try to plan and make it the best we can? Can we live moment-to-moment, carefree and with no vision of what’s coming along next? That doesn’t seem right either. The problem occurs when the future is partnered with the word “worrying”. Worry about the future and you are not able to live in the present moment with out losing that morsel of time. The removal of the worrying component is what makes life easy. Well maybe not easy, but easier. You know you can’t stop the future from coming so why fight it? Anyway, there is no guarantee of how you think the future will look like, will actually be the way you imagined it.
As for me, I grew up in a family of worriers so I have had to deal with this most of my life. I still catch myself but I am getting better.
What about you? What do you worry about? Or are you over it?
