Yesterday I was with my daughter as she drove. As we exited the freeway I saw one weeping willow tree on a bare patch of dirt. As I looked at the long straight branches reaching toward the ground they looked like lines on a page and thought they might make a good background for a journal page.
A few weeks ago I showed you this page where I created a tree trunk as a journal page background, created without much fore-thought. It just flowed from my hand.
My willow tree is opposite, it is created with fore-thought – although not much effort went into it as it only took about 10 minutes to create.
The branches of the willow tree make spaces for journal writing when the book is turned sideways.
