What is Your Perfect Day?

What if you are ready to create a journal page but you don’t know where to start?

One of my favorite things to do is to create a page with a list. Why?

  • Don’t have to write in full sentences
  • It’s fast
  • It’s easy
  • Bullet points are optional
A watercolor background is not mandatory but it does add more to a blank white page, don’t you think?

In case you are wondering, I wet the page first with clear water to get a lighter color with the paints (Sakura Koi Watercolors Pocket Field Sketch Box).

I used waxed paper between the pages to help protect the rest of the sketchbook.

The black pen is a Pentel Brush Pen. The pink pen is a Gelly Roll pen from Sakura.

The prompt is a bit blurry but it says:

“List the components of your perfect day:”

I do have more components of my perfect day but I just wanted you to get an idea of one way to do a visual journal page. Creativity is always near the top of the list for me.

And did you see my big stack of journal prompts that I flipped through at the beginning of the video? I will be sharing my prompts and pages with you as we go along.

What makes it a perfect day for you?
