Life Book 2016 is well underway. This is my second year participating.
This year I have created a space in my calendar to work on each week’s project. Last year I attempted to do the lessons without scheduling them into my week, but that didn’t work out as I had hoped. I took time to be creative in many projects other than Life Book and only did a few of the lessons.
The great thing about Life Book is that you can download all of the material and work at your own pace. I have all of the material from last year saved on my computer so I can still go back and do them.
I have found through trial and error that scheduling my creative time and making sure that I protect that time makes me more productive. My creativity is best spent within the artwork rather than haphazardly attempting to squeeze in time to make art.
If you want a weekly mixed media art lesson delivered to your email inbox, I highly recommend participating in Life Book.
The teachers are excellent. The content varies weekly yet, many of the techniques repeat so that you can build up your technical skills.
There is a large Facebook community component if you are interested in connecting with fellow life bookers. Everyone is highly supportive and it is super fun and inspiring to see all of the art work posted.
On Instagram you can search for #lifebook2016 to see all the amazing artwork.
I hope you join in.
