Meandering Book
I love working on paper and a meandering book fits right into that category.
These folded books are easy to make – no sewing involved and can be as complex or as simple as you want to make them.
I will be holding a workshop in Alameda at Frank Bette Center for the Arts where you can create one.

Once the meandering book is made, you can use whatever media you prefer:
- Collage
- Watercolor
- Colored pencil
- Ink
- Acrylic
- Pastel
- Crayon
- Graphite
- Or my favorite, a mix of all of them, aka, mixed-media.
If you want to see a meandering book in action, check out the sneak-peak video below.
My book is still in progress with lots of room to add more art.
The one we will make in the workshop is a perfect size for work on the go and the larger spreads that open up are fun to work on.
The other day I handed my work-in-progress to my husband to look through. As he flipped and folded it and tried to make sense of it, it struck me that life is similar.
I often try to make sense of it.
I want to go from point A to point B, yet I am met with new challenges. New paths unfold and others are blocked.
